I just realized that the template for my blog does not include the timestamp. The information should be in each post, but it’s not being published. Does anyone know how to fix this?
UPDATE:Gaston fixed it for me, thanks!!

Today I have a vegan take into the rajas con crema that I blogged about some time ago.
I used:
4 fresh poblano peppers
Two cloves of garlic
Half to a quarter of a white onion
One small can of corn
Vegetable oil
Salt to taste
The first thing to do is to roast the poblano peppers in the broiler. I cut them in two so I didn’t have to turn them around. When they were charred, I put them in a plastic bag to “sweat”.

After the peppers are cooled down, peel and devein them.

Meanwhile, slice onion and garlic and sautee them in the oil until lightly browned but not caramelized.

Add the rajas that, because of the roasting, should be kinda cooked by now, sautee for about 2 minutes and add salt to taste.

Then add the small can of yellow corn. Sautee for another 2 minutes just to make the taste uniform.

That’s it! Serve with a side of rice and refried beans. The corn tortilla is for making tacos.

Delicious!
So I just got a random phone call from a survey company (Forum Research). They were calling “on behalf of the TTC” and I wasn’t even screened out for occupation (usually they ask if you work for market research, and if you do they don’t let you participate in the survey, this time they didn’t).

The interview was short and concise, they asked me if I have taken the TTC in the past 4 weeks (of course I have, like 4 times a day!), if I had access to the Internet (obviously), and how I pay for the TTC when I take it (I use the incredibly expensive Metropass, as expensive as it is, it is less than paying with tickets or tokens). Then they asked where I buy it, well, the subway station, that’s where they sell it. Finally, they asked if I have a valid driver’s licence (yes) and a car (no).
So the main question of the survey was if the TTC sold the Metropass on the Internet, on a secure website, payable with debit or credit card, and delivered it to me at the same price, would I buy it? I really couldn’t care less so I answered “don’t know”.
Then they asked if the TTC sold the Metropass on the Internet… and charged $3.00 to deliver it by Canada Post would I buy it? Of course not, why would I pay 3 extra dollars, I am already paying a ridiculous amount ($109 a month) and I go every single day, might as well just get it there. Plus regular postage is only like $0.60 per letter or so.
And then, they asked an even more ridiculous question, if the TTC sold the Metropass on the Internet by debit or credit card, and charged $5.00 to delilver it by courier, would I buy it? WHAT? of course not, I already said “no” to $3.00, why would I pay $5.00?
I guess the only people that would be willing to pay more for delivery of such Metropass would be those who really really want to pay it with credit card, because if someone buys a Metropass they have to use the system almost daily to make it worth it, so the cheapest way to do it is by picking it up at the subway station. Some people even have that Metropass discount program in which they pay less than the $109 and have the deduction made directly from their bank account. The Metropass is delivered to their door at no extra charge.
So yes, I guess that’s the new thing that the TTC is trying to implement, at least they’re doing research about it. It wouldn’t affect me since I would still go to the subway station and get my Metropass, but maybe they are listening to what people are asking? I wonder.
When going to the washroom, make sure you don’t have your beloved digital camera in the pocket. It may “accidentally” fall in the toilet.
This is what happened on (luckily) my last day in Cabo San Lucas. The Memory Stick was savaged, but the camera is caput. Now I have to get another one.
Photos coming soon.
