Four bands played at the Silver Dollar Room

On Saturday, The Calrizians played at the legendary Silver Dollar Room.

James was great with the drums and much fun was had by all. Here’s a video of them performing Greensleeves (link), everyone said that James was great smiling all the time and being all happy and whatnot.

After that, there was a performance by Tara Lee Combs.

And Trole was next. They were lots of fun, a great entertaining performance.

To close the evening, The Blue Demons played their surf-rocky act. I loved that they were wearing the Blue Demon mask. A lot of people don’t know how important Blue Demon was for Mexican Wrestling (lucha libre).

The Calrizians in Kensington Market

Last Sunday I spent the afternoon at Bread & Circus on Baldwin, Kensington Market. The Calrizians were playing (apparently they play every Sunday at 2 PM).
Can my dear readers recognize the drummer?

Welcome

Hello everyone and welcome to my new URL. Thanks for staying with me. As you know, I have been really busy, but I’ll try to update regularly with lots of knitting contents, recipes and reviews of what’s happening around Toronto.

My birthday

I’m so excited.
My birthday is on Wednesday so I’m going to have two birthday weekends plus a birthday day!
For now I booked the hospital off on both weekends. My last day at work will be Tuesday, and I’m taking Wednesday, Thursday and Friday off. On Wednesday I’m going to have my hair done. Later we’re going for dinner at an Indian place and then for martinis.
I think I may want to go shopping to Buffalo on the following weekend. We’ll see what happens.
